Tips for booking your group visits on our new group booking portal.
Formal education groups (schools, colleges etc.) and tour operators booking on behalf of these groups can use the group booking portal to check availability, build an itinerary, book your museum admission ticket and additional activities and make payment for any charged options.
Other groups (such as Girlguiding, Scouts, summer schools, youth and community organisations) and tour operators will need to contact us on info@sciencemuseumgroup.ac.uk or 033 0058 0058 to book for now, while we develop the online booking pathway.
If you are a SEND group wanting to attend Wonderlab on a SEND Day, or you require a private lunch space or minibus parking, please call us to make your booking.
What you need to know before you book
- What are the rough dates you would like to visit?
- How many adults and children in your group?
- What are the age ranges of any children in your group?
- Are there any specific access needs?
Planning your day
Activities are shown based on the age range of your group. If you don’t see activities for your desired date:
- the activity may be fully booked.
- the activity may not be taking place on your chosen dates.
- the activity may not be suitable for the age range of your group.
- on weekdays in term time Wonderlab is set aside for specific year groups on different days—check the calendar for your age group.
- our picnic areas are not bookable, they operate on a free flow basis.
Payment for charged activities
- If your itinerary includes charged activities, you must make payment ahead of your visit. This can be done by invoice (see below), credit or debit card.
- Formal education organisations can choose to pay by invoice. This incurs a non-refundable £25 processing fee.
- Depending how far ahead your visit is you may be able to put your booking on hold before deciding how to pay. Otherwise, payment is required immediately to complete your booking.
