Medicine: The Wellcome Galleries–groups

The world’s largest display dedicated to the story of medicine. KS2 and upwards (ages 7+).

Spanning centuries and continents, more than 3,000 astonishing objects reveal how our ideas about health have changed throughout history to the present day.

Arranged as five themed galleries, the displays provide an unparalleled resource for secondary students, with links to Science, History, Psychology, PSHE and Religious Studies. They are also relevant for KS2 children.

The five galleries are:

  • Medicine and Bodies
  • Exploring Medicine
  • Medicine and Treatments: The GSK Gallery
  • Medicine and Communities
  • Faith, Hope and Fear
